You said no romance! But as long as they don't pull another Chilbong, I won't complain. Jung-hwan is too attractive not to be the one. Could be just Ryu Joonyeol's attractiveness though. I really needed the recap - there are no subs yet, and my Korean is not even close to good enough to watch 90 minutes raw. I didn't quite get what happened with the picket sign without the subs. So far, it's a pretty pleasant surprise - it's a good cast, and even Hyeri does well.
I remember being sceptical about her casting but having some cautious optimism that if the role was tailored to her capabilities and the directing helped her out unlike her previous dramas , she could pull it off. It's good to see that she did. All the angst, heart ache, and fandom war was partly self induced due to personal preference and bias, which is cool cause dramas should bring out the feels. Both series had more than just find the husband. Both had their shortcomings and some of the complaints are valid.
But it seems fandom well ifans that is got real bitter and negative over the whole thing once their favored character and ship was not endgame. I can't help but think if CB had been the husband there would be less complaint and negativity about it all. Anyways I am looking forward to this series and really hope it gets subbed soon.
I watched it raw and as always the family and friendships really hit the feels. I like the goofy dad stuck with the monotone members, I can relate to the angst of being the unintentionally forgotten child, Sunwoo and his mom gutted me, and off course our regularly placed dad made me tear up.
I am looking forward to learning more about our core 5 and their lives in and out of the home Jung-hwa and PBG's characters really caught my interest and although they said no husband hunt, it is their shtick and I kinda enjoy all their series having that one bound to get annoying trait. Imma ship what I like but also keep in mind the team's preference and track record all writers do this, 'I Need Romance' team comes to mind so I don't get too invested in something that was never going to be unless they surprise us and do the opposite of what we've come to expect.
We are only 2 eps in so anything is possible at this point. I was Team Trash too. Though their first kiss took place just after he smoked a pack of cigarettes. Totally agree! I was very much onboard the Trash Oppa ship, but gotta admit that Chilbongie won my heart over at times. But it was the overall story that won my heart over, especially the feeling of having a family while away from your own home. I was really surprised how intrigued I was by Jung-hwa's character too.
Since the actor is a newbie he hadn't gotten the spotlight of more known GP and BG as far as character information goes. He came out of left field for me and now I just want to know more. I mean, seems like she has crush into the good one guy, but the future interview she says "I was insane" so she must picked the bad guy, ha. I bet they have insane fights kkkkkkk. I hope someone subs this soon. I watched it RAW because i couldn't control my curiosity but with the accent and other references,missed out a million things.
Dog seems to be the main guy. And our Taek is going to be the second lead who is going to break our heart all over again,isn't it :'. Got too invested in Reply '94 for my own good and after being chilbonged Good is my birth year but I call myself a 90's kid since I grew up during this decade which shaped me that's why I liked version always remember my life with all my friends during this period.
I just finished reading this, but haven't watched the actual episode yet. Based on the reading, I like it already. The characters and their relationships with one another seem endearing, albeit not flawless, which is what makes it realistic and raw. I love it. I'm a total fan for this series, so of course I can see myself liking this one, too. So here's to more heartwarming funnies, random funnies, and sweet lovin' between family and friends!
I can't help it. I love this series and have to join in. I love that while I grew up in the US, a little younger than this crop of kids, there is so much to connect over. It's those shared themes: family, friends, pop culture, youth culture!

I legit cried when Deok Sun found out Madagascar withdrew from the Olympics and started crying on the air. I always had faith that Hye Ri would be able to pull it off because I trust the Answer Me crew, but she really had me in that moment. I'm sold. Last, the bloated show length often leaves me confused about what's supposed to be funny.
I'll be watching some long drawn out moment and I'll hear the awkward goat and I'll be like "oh, what was the joke It's always exactly what I saw. I really hope all the episodes won't be as long as this first one. I really miss the zippy, pointed hilarity of Exactly, the goat sound.
I startled when I heard it as it seemed so out of place. Also figured I missed the context somehow, but did wonder if the producers felt it obligatory and are a bit less judicious where they're using it? I don't know. I also have a lot of love for the Reply series and think the producing side is a bit of genius, but I will say if this was the first installment, I don't think I would have made it past the first episode.
There was something about 97 that more easily invited people into the story--maybe the present versus past? And the goat sound there? Always hilarious and obvious. I also think it is just Oppa's personality that makes him so comfortable with everyone else. And the reason he gave Binguere some of his rice is because Binguere is his hoobae at school, since they are in the same department.
I haven't seen episode 6 yet, but if Oppa really does have feelings for Na-jung, then I'm glad. The show and writers wouldn't make him so irresistible if he wasn't going to be a love interest, right? LOL I mean having a gf doesn't eliminate the possibility of him being gay but he didn't seem to be using her as a beard either. OMG Oppaya is so damn cute. At first I shipped Na Jung with Chilbongie but not anymore.
Oppaya Oppaya! I laughed how everyone freaked out when Taewoong's wife of A appeared as a cameo and everyone screamed ''Garbage is going to marry her''. That would be amazing!!! I agree, that would be cute. Whatever the case, I hope that he does not spend forever pining over a one-side love. I want to see him, and indeed all the characters, happy. Jung Woo does an incredible job as Garbage oppa.
He has such an expressive face. When he was taking to the kids, and made the younger one say thank you hyung, it was cracking me up, how he couldn't keep his face straight. And the final scene, well that was just heart breaking. Oh and is it just me, or doesn't garbage take his shirt off at least once every episode? Read it and loved it. Although I've not watch any of the episodes I just love it and chilbongi.
Like I said last episode if its not chilbongi am really really really really going to cry and curse this show for breaking my heart. I know that nothing much actually happened in this episode. I am falling in love with this little Gem. Yes its slower, but I actually love evey single mundane moment. And we are slowly getting to know everyone and see relationships develop. Can't wait for the next episode. I'm sooo in love with Answer Me series.

I think it's garbage. He just totally steals the show. Not knowing whether or not na jung ends up with him makes me tear my hair out a bit. I also like the fact that they're all old enough to start exploring a kind of relationship that maybe was limited to since they were highschoolers faling in love. I love it when they're all eating together at the table i bet the cast loves filming these scenes because that's when you really see them all together in their own dynamic.
Chilbongie is adorable as ever, Binggeure just got a whole lot more interesting, Yoon Jin and Samcheonpo are probably going to end up together, and Na Jung is so adorably obvious with her feelings for oppa.
That last scene was so beautiful and dammit jung woo that look he gives -- i was a goner. I think i've settled nicely into the pacing -- although slow for others, have remained consistent for me. I'm really excited what they have in store for us for the next 15 episodes. I absolutely love the ost for this show. It feels so fitting without ever taking me out of the moment. The song of the day is so great. Answer me is the show that makes me giddy with all these feels week-to-week.
Now that Oppa is out for me, anyway I guess it will be C. He doesn't excite me much yet, though. He's too harmless, but I do have a feeling he turns up the heat soon. How awesome was he to call SM for NJ? His heart must have been beating as hard as hers, hoping and praying SM would be home so he could duly impress his crush. YJ's dancing was the highlight of the ep. The girl can move. I love this! I think Momo may have nailed it.
Bingurae crushes on Garbage, and starts going to class to be with Hyung, becomes a doctor, meets '97's Joon at the hospital, and ends up in the red car. I'm stunned by how good Jung Woo is. The quiet, little gestures, the kindness and thoughtfulness that radiates when he's on screen is killing me.
I can't wait for the next episode! Even though I heavily ship Na-jung and Garbage Oppa, I won't mind if Na-jung marries Chilbongie and the show decides to do a twist like making Garbage Oppa end up romantically with Bingguere. I love this show Sure it's a little slow at times but there are too many perfect little moments in between. This is speculation, but how awesome would it be if Bingguere turns out to be the driver of the red car that picked up Joon Hee at the end of ?!?!
It got spoiled and I'm pretty sure everybody had drank it. I remember them cutting to him taking big gulps of the tea. It was actually the tea that they were all drinking that was going bad, as the mother found out towards the end of the episode.
So it turned out, it was none of the food. I do agree that the pacing could have been made tighter. If they decided to make it a one-hour episode, perhaps have a total of 16 or 18 as opposed to the planned 20 episodes. But it's great that we get to know each character as each episode unfolds, one benefit of having a much longer show. And I really don't mind seeing oppa's gratuitous abs shots.
More, more! I am loving the story so far, some scenes may feel like filler but they tie up nicely at the end and when it does, it just gives me that heart-wrenching feeling. Can't they just end up together? I am all for the Garbage oppa - Najung ship but Chilbongie is just too cute with his puppy eyes. It is this aspect of the show that I try so hard to explain to my k-drama watching friends but can't convey well in words. Oppa is gay Oppa is gay. Nah, I think he just doesn't feel the same for NJ, and doesn't want to hurt her feelings because he only see her as a younger sister for now.
But it can be also because he is gay, because of episode 6 scenes, and how in episodes he keeps getting Baro's character to every place and on the future you can see that he was playing with his hands on Baro's back! That could be it! I feel like this episode was better paced than the first four. The breakfast scene was a little long, but it had a point in the end so it didn't bother me. Mostly I was happy to see YJ again, it feels like she doesn't get enough air tome.
That scene where Sam Cheon Po ate her precious bugles was gold. Jung Woo is seriously killing it by being the best oppa ever.
I don't actually think he'll end up with NJ and am rooting for Chilbong, but I still swoon whenever he does something nice for NJ. Based on my year experience of Kdrama yeah Autumn in My Heart aired in my country when I was 8 , I strongly believe Oppa is the husband. Reasons as follow. Reason 1: Dad is really favoring Chilbong. According to my instinct, the male leads are always the ones parents don't pay attention to unless the girl's family is extremely poor.
Reason 2 : In scenes, the directors are indicting every arrow in the house to make it look like Chilbong is the husband like, him going casually into the room to sleep. Things like that always happens to have a twist later on.
Reason 3 : on the very first episode, Na Jung is giving directions to her husband. If he's a Seoul guy, why would she need to do that? Reason 4 : In the same conversation, Na Jung asked her husband to get yogurt for her without almonds.
But instead she said "I'm sorry. Ok ok" then she bungs up the phone and whines "but I hate almonds". If you think about it only Oppa could have the power to do everything in his way because Chilbong seems like a guy who would go anything Na Jung likes. So there are my reasons why Oppa is the sole candidate for husband.
Please don't hesitate to correct me if I'm wrong. A lot of us do believe she was on the phone with Oppa considering her tone of voice, it's very similar to the way she communicates with him. Though here are my two cents in regards to your reasons 3 and 4. Reason 3: - Assuming Oppa IS the husband, why would he need directions to his own house?
Despite the fact that Oppa isn't a native Seoulite shouldn't be an excuse for not knowing his way around. It's , he should know his way around by now right? It would then make sense for Oppa to need directions. Reason 4: - As you mentioned Chilbongie doesn't seem like the type to deny Na Jung of her likes and dislikes so it sort of confirms that it WAS Oppa on the phone. Looking at the dynamic of Oppa and Na Jung's relationship, it makes it easier for Oppa to reject the fact that she doesn't want almonds in her coffee.
Though I do agree that she was definitely on the phone with Oppa, I'm not quite convinced that it implies she was talking to him from the perspective of a wife. We were only 1 year old in terms of K-drama watching and everything seemed strange to us It was just a confusing mess so we gave up. I tried multiple times after that but only got to episode 3 or so. It wasn't until I got a little bit into K-pop that I was finally able to start again and finish it It got so addicting and I loved the OTP so much! Perhaps it's because I was eventually able to get Answer Me after so many failed attempts that Answer Me clicks with me much faster and stronger.
I've already gotten so emotionally invested and actually teared up during the second episode. I'm so happy now that it looks like I've found my new crack drama after TMS ended still suffering from withdrawal I'm excited for the journey ahead and only wish I didn't have to wait 9 more weeks to solve the mystery Oh and I love Jung Woo!
He really does steal the scene in everything. I missed him. So clearly I feel a bit different from most viewers here. I'm not quite sure if I like the series just yet. And I loved , but I don't really want the same old thing.
Like I loved how the Mom always cooked huge portions And at times, it seemed like sometimes it was trying to be too funny. I swear I heard the sheep so many times. I'm not sure if I like Najung just yet. She sometimes seems a bit too over the top.
I hope I do come to like her as she is the main character. I really liked Samcheonpo's character. You could really feel the fish-out-of-water.
Who hasn't ever felt that lost? This gives me hope that show does know what it's doing, since it was able to do that with I will have to watch the next couple of eps to get a real feel for this drama. It may just be that I really want to like this drama. It didn't occur to me that the cab driver was fleecing Samcheonpo Hahaha, I think I just about died of laughter from the laundry scenes. Such great acting on both Go Ara and Jung Woo's part. Looking forward to this drama :.
